On February 21, 2026, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts will launch their inaugural ‘Heartbeat’ summit.

Bringing together artists, healthcare professionals, and scientists, the summit will be comprised of performances and movement sessions meant to promote well-being and overall health. Among the collaborating companies are Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Juilliard School, LCPA, Lincoln Center Theater, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and the School of American Ballet.

There will be a special event on Feb. 6 in preparation of the summit, titled ‘Stories and Songs of Music and Health.’ Renowned soprano Renee Fleming will be joined by Dr. Francis Collins and other guests to explore the relationship between health and art.

“The arts are fundamental to our human thriving, both as individuals and as broader communities,” said LCPA President and CEO Mariko Silver in a press release. “As a civic and cultural hub, we have a responsibility to continuously support the well-being of our city, and we are thrilled to host this inaugural convening that brings a multitude of art forms together—illuminating them through a scientific lens, and deepening how the arts show up as essential to community care.”
