The Auditorium has announced their 2026-27 Dance season. Titled ‘North American Dance,’ the season will feature five esteemed dance companies from across the continent.
Dance Theatre of Harlem
The New York-based company will return to the historic Chicago venue for the first time in nearly a decade for a program of works including ‘Firebird,’ choreographed by John Taras, and works by George Balanchine and company Artistic Director Robert Garland.
Performance Date: October 17, 2026.
Ballets Jazz Montréal
Known for blending styles in original works, this company will present a new piece titled ‘Dance Me,’ inspired by the song by Leonard Cohen. Choreography is by Andonis Foniadakis, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Ihsan Rustem.
Performance Date: November 7,2026.
Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo
This all-male ensemble present works which mix classical style with comedic skits and parodies of ballet’s most memorable moments.
Performance Date: February 20, 2027.
Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez
Returning after their engagement last year, this company will present a program of works which celebrates Mexico’s cultural heritage across the ages and regions.
Performance Dates: March 6-7, 2027.
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater
This renowned company will return for classic and contemporary works, including their celebrated ‘Revelations.’
Performance Dates: April 22-25, 2027.
