Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre Receives $25k Grant from New York State Council on the Arts

Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre has announced they have received a grant of $25k from the New York State Council on the Arts. The gift comes as part of NYSCA’s ongoing investment in arts and cultural leaders through the city, so far awarding $80.9m in support for the fiscal year.

“During these challenging times, the New York State Council on the Arts has been a stalwart and innovative funder,” says NYSCA Executive Director Erika Mallin in a press release. “These grants will serve artists and organizations in every region and county, fueling our economy and serving our communities. We know this support isn’t just an investment in the arts; it’s an investment in New York’s future. Congratulations to Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre and thank you for your perseverance, your creativity, and your tireless service to New York State.”

The company is set to open their 26th season on February 28, 2026, with their gala titled ‘Rooted & Rising.’
