Battery Dance has announced that they are taking applications for their 45th Annual Battery Dance Festival. Performing August 11-16, 2026, applications will be accepted until February 5.
According to their website, works from all genres will be considered, with each applicant limited to submitting one work. Samples may be submitted digitally, and there is no application fee.
New York City’s longest-running public dance festival, BDF was established in 1982, and regularly brings dance to about 1,500 people each night of their festival. The festival is also streamed to audiences worldwide. Past collaborators have included companies such as The Isadora Duncan Dance Company, New York Theatre Ballet, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, and others from around the globe.
