The Joffrey Ballet has announced that President and CEO Greg Cameron is set to conclude his 15-year tenure with the company in December 2027.

As part of the succession plan set forth by Cameron and the Board of Directors, a search committee has been formed to find Cameron’s successor, who is expected to begin before the end of next year. Cameron will continue to lead the company through the search process, and to ensure a smooth transition with the incoming CEO.

During his time with Joffrey Ballet, Cameron used his philanthropic and civic leadership experience to eliminate their budget deficit, establish their first endowment, and create an Artistic Innovation Fund about to be completed.

“Greg’s leadership changed the trajectory of the Joffrey, and we enter this transition with tremendous momentum,” said Board Chair Jim McDonough in a press release. “Our next CEO will inherit a thriving cultural institution, prepared to pursue its future from a position of extraordinary strength. We will cast a wide net for a leader who champions artists, cultivates enduring partnerships, and can spearhead a complex organization of this scale.”
