Madison Marie McIntosh to Premiere New Aria at ‘Children of Light’ Concert

On March 28, 2026, The New Light Foundation will present ‘Children of Light.’

This outdoor concert will feature soprano Nat Simone and mezzo Madison Marie McIntosh, accompanied by Yu-Hsuan Feng. The program will feature an aria from ‘One Such Child,’ a new opera by librettist Wendy White and composer Matthew Carlton, to be performed by McIntosh. There will also be works from Theodore Christman, Susan Conti, Mark Francis, Gary Vincent Koda, Vita Koreneva, Jeff Shankley, and Stéphane Tesan.

McIntosh has performed with companies such as Caramoor, the Rossini Opera Festival, Teatro Nuovo, Sarasota Opera, Teatro Grattacielo and more. The winner of The American Prize of 2020, McIntosh has premiered works by noted composers including Theodore Christman, Manne Von M, Arnold Saltzmann, and Jeff Shankley, among others.
