On February 1, 2026, Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will take to the Colden Auditorium at Kupferberg Center for the Arts to present a special program of works in celebration of the Year of the Horse.
The Lunar New Year program will include works such as ‘Lion in the City,’ with choreography by Peiju Chien-Pott and hip-hop artists Kwikstep and Rokafella, which blends Chinese with contemporary movement. Other works include Zhongmei Li’s ‘Reverberation of Joy,’ which features a musical excerpt from an upcoming piece by Angel Lam in commission by the League of American Orchestras; as well as Lawrence Jin’s ‘Mongolian Harvest,’ which draws inspiration from the dances and daily life of the culture, and was commissioned by the NJPAC.
Tickets begin at $22, with the company set to continue their tour through performing centers across the area.
