On December 13, 2025, Grand Theatre de Geneve lifted the curtain on a new production of the 2014 musical “An American in Paris,’ marking its premiere in Switzerland
This adaptation of the Gene Kelly film features music by the Gershwins, as well as stunning choreography by Christopher Wheeldon, with set and costume design by Bob Crowley. Dancer Robert Fairchild reprises his role as Jerry Mulligan, with Royal Ballet’s principal dancer Anna Rose O’Sullivan joining as Lise Dassin. The cast also includes new and returning members from previous productions such as Emily Ferranti as Milo Davenport, Etai Benson as Adam Hochberg, Max von Essen as Henri Baurel, and Rebecca Eichenberger as Madame Baurel.
First premiering in Paris’ Theatre du Chatelet, the Broadway run of this musical won several awards, such as the 2015 Tony Awards for Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations.
